Balenciaga

Most notably, Balenciaga is credited with creating previously unheard-of shapes for women's clothing in the middle of the 20th century, including the "sack dress" in 1957 and "ballroom hems" in the early 1950s.

To maintain creative integrity in cut, shape, and material, current Creative Director Demna Gvasalia has closely consulted the Balenciaga House archives and looked at Cristóbal Balenciaga's original designs.
